What a season!
From the first practices to the final touch at Championships, our Chadwick Varsity Dolphins showed what it looks like to compete with pride, train with purpose, and support each other like a true team. We had breakthroughs across the roster, countless personal bests, and a championship weekend that felt like a celebration of everything we’ve been building.
Season Results
Boys: 8 wins / 8 losses - A gritty season with lots of best times and big steps forward. Highlight: a new Medley Relay School Record (1:56.84) by Jason Tsui, Moojin Hong, Joon Kang, and Jackson Hong.
Girls: 16 wins / 0 losses - That’s three straight undefeated seasons—continuing to write Chadwick history and raising the standard every time they race.

The Power of Team Culture: SMILE
One of the biggest reasons this season was so special wasn’t just results—it was our team culture. This year we leaned into SMILE as our standard and our identity:
Show Up
Make Every Lap Count
Invest in the Team
Learn from Every Race
Encourage Everyone
SMILE powered us through the hard training weeks, helped us respond to adversity, and kept us connected when pressure was high. It showed up in the way we raced for each other, the way we celebrated teammates’ success, and the way we stayed locked in even when things were tough. That culture is what turns a group of swimmers into a team—and it’s a huge part of why we finished the year so strong.

KAIAC Championships Recap
KAIAC Championships were last weekend, and the energy was outstanding. We had a great showing of fans, families, and younger swimmers who came out to support us—thank you. It meant a lot to our athletes and added something special to the weekend.
Team finishes:
Boys: 5th place in a tough, close competition
Girls: 1st place — KAIAC Champions (continuing their dominance)
Combined (Boys + Girls): 2nd place overall in an extremely close points race:
SFS — 1,079
CI — 1,007
YISS — 981.5
We narrowly missed 1st and barely held off 3rd—exactly the kind of meet where every swim, every relay, and every point matters. Our team showed up.

A Record-Breaking Moment
A major highlight from Championships was Amal McElroy setting her 3rd individual KAIAC record, winning the 50m Freestyle in 26.85.
That swim was historic: Amal became the first female swimmer in KAIAC history to break 27 seconds in the 50m Freestyle. She also earned the High Point / Top Performer award for the entire competition—an unbelievable achievement and a proud moment for Chadwick Swimming.

Gratitude and What’s Next
To our swimmers: thank you for the effort, the sacrifice, the discipline, and the pride you showed wearing the cap. You represented Chadwick the right way—supporting each other, racing with courage, and staying united when things got hard.
To our parents and supporters: thank you for the early mornings, the loud cheering, the encouragement, the snacks, and the trust. And to the younger Dolphins who came to watch—our varsity athletes noticed, and it mattered. Seeing the next generation in the stands helps build the culture we want: one program, one community, one standard.
This season gave us a lot to celebrate—and even more to build on. We’re proud of the results, but even more proud of the way this team carried itself throughout the year.
Once a Dolphin, always a Dolphin.Let’s keep building.
